What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when a website loads in your browser. Similar technologies, such as browser local and session storage, work the same way and are covered by this policy.
What we set, and when
This policy covers both our website (zippendo.com) and the Zippendo application (app.zippendo.com).
One consent choice covers both. The record of your choice is stored for the whole zippendo.com domain, so if you accept or reject on our website, the application applies the same decision and does not ask you again. You can change it at any time from either place.
Strictly necessary cookies are set without consent, because the service does not work without them: authentication and session cookies, your language preference, and the record of the consent choice you make.
Everything else is set only after you consent, and you can withdraw that consent at any time. This covers the product analytics, session replay and error reporting we use to operate and improve the service — in the application as well as on the website. If you do not consent, none of it is stored or collected. We do not use advertising cookies.

Google Tag Manager is loaded only after you consent to analytics, and it currently loads no further tags.
Our documentation pages
Our developer documentation at zippendo.com/docs is provided by Mintlify, which stores mintlify_anonymous_id and mintlify_session_id in your browser to count documentation visits. Those pages are served by Mintlify rather than by our own application, so our cookie banner does not appear on them and cannot control that storage. You can clear it through your browser settings.
Managing your consent
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via Cookie preferences, in the footer of our website and under Settings in the application. Withdrawing consent stops the relevant cookies from being set and deletes the analytics cookies already stored.

Changes
We update this policy when our cookie usage changes; the current version is always available on this page. Material changes are reflected in the cookie banner, which will ask for your consent again where required.
